Counselor

$20-$22/hour

Camp Counselors are the wind beneath our wings, responsible for ensuring campers have a safe, fun, and enriching experience each day. Whether full-time or part-time, counselors build meaningful relationships with campers, lead games and activities, and help foster a welcoming, inclusive camp environment.

Specialist

$30/hour

Specialists are dynamic educators who design and lead engaging, hands-on programs in their area of expertise—ranging from musical theater and visual arts to STEAM, sports, and adventure. They create developmentally appropriate, theme-aligned curricula that spark creativity, collaboration, and confidence while ensuring camper safety and enthusiasm. 

Unit Head

$24-$26/hour
Unit Head is a leadership role within the camp, responsible for overseeing all programming, staff, and logistics for a variety of camp groups. This may include developing curriculum, supervising CITs, counselors and specialists, managing supplies across all age groups, and serving as the primary contact for camper behavior and parent communication.

Office Staff

$20-$22/Hour

The Office Coordinator serves as the administrative backbone and welcoming face of camp. This customer-service-focused role handles camper paperwork, manages front-desk operations, and serves as the first point of contact for families. The Office Coordinator also supports daily logistics, including snack distribution and communication between camp teams.

FAQs

Will my application only be considered if I can work the whole summer?

We recognize that Camp Firedragon applicants may be in school or have year-round jobs that impact their summer availability. We welcome applicants that can commit to a minimum of 6 weeks. Candidates who can attend training week (6/8-6/12/2026) will be prioritized. 

Do I need to be fluent in Mandarin?

We offer camps in English and Mandarin, so Mandarin fluency is not required to apply.

Do you sponsor work visas?

We are not able to sponsor work visas.

What is the minimum age to work at Camp?

Applicants must be at least 16-years-old by the start of Camp. Applicants under 18-years-old must have a valid work permit.
